Our ex Charter member Klaus Kretzschmar left our club to work in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He went for make-ups and subsequently joined RC Bukit Kiara Sunrise. Their weekly club meeting is also on Saturday mornings. He then suggested to both clubs to form Sister Club relations.
We deliberated for a long time as this was the first time that we were considering a Sister Club arrangement. We finally agreed. In order for the relationship to be more meaningful, friendly games like bowling, golf, beer drinking, volleyball, and badminton were organized. We also did joint projects such as the Grandma Care project in Thailand, the Ban Mae Toh project, etc. The Sister Club arrangement was signed by President Chew Ghim Bok with President Liow Moi Lee on 6 November 1999 at our regular Saturday morning meeting.
